Acting / Musical Theatre Instructors
Our Acting / Musical Theatre Department, headed by Mandy Cerrone, features highly skilled professional teachers. Many of whom are working artists with an impressive performing/teaching history. Our teachers enjoy guiding their students to finding their self-expression, overcoming self-conciousness on stage and enjoying the opportunity to perform serveral times a year. Students grow in awareness of their art, through their teachers vast education and/or industry experience. Meet the instructors.

Acting Workshops w. Marc Durso
Hollywood is the most competitive market in our industry. ActTrue uses proven, professional acting technique: the reliable, repeatable tools of the Hagen Object Exercises to meet that competition. Each actor creates from their unique personality and intelligence. No Gimmicks, No Tricks, No Shortcuts!
Exploring Musical Theater (for 3 – 5 years old)
This class introduces the joy of performing to the young actor! The participant will be exposed to poetry, literature, simple scripts, children’s songs and improvisation, while having fun acting them out. The student will gain confidence as they perform in a group and individually.
Musical Theater (ages 6-9) (ages 10 -14)
This course offered in musical theater is a culmination of acting, singing and dancing. The students will be taught the fundamentals of each sub-field and given exercises that will facilitate both quick and quality growth. It is recommended that the student not be a beginner in all areas (i.e., he/she should have previous dance experience…). This is not to discourage all beginners. It is also strongly encouraged that students take class in these areas outside of this course. Other classes may include private voice lessons and or chorus, dance classes and or acting workshops. All of which are offered here at the Academy.
